Reasons Why You Don't Make Money With Your Blog ?:-
The main reason you’re not making money with your blog is NOT because you are unlucky or not working hard enough, but because you’ve been given ‘MIS-LEADING’ information when it comes to using display ads and affiliate offers to monetize your blog...!
You’ve been misled to believing you can build a great amount of fortune by blogging everyday about your favorite topic and having people simply click on your ads.
The truth behind this is that you can make a bit of money with this model, but it is almost impossible to get rich and build a life of luxury using this blog advertising model ...
Here’s why... The majority of blog owners follow an ‘Old-fashioned’ formula that is based on how the media industries (magazines, newspapers, television, radio, etc) traditionally operate; they try to get as many readers, listeners and viewers as possible and make their profits through advertising.
The key to its success is related to the size of the audience - the more people read, watch or listen to your media, the more potential customers are available to purchase your advertiser’s products or services. And the more popular the magazine, newspaper, TV show, or radio show is, the more money you can charge to your advertisers. This formula doesn´t work well in the blogging world. Particularly for small or start up blogs because they can never duplicate the amount of traffic and readership that big media companies can to turn a decent profit.
Have you ever considered how many visitors you will need PER DAY to be able to make a comfortable living from advertising income alone?
Guess how many visitors the average small blog receives on a daily basis?
Less than 500 a day !
Now in order to generate 3000 to 5000 unique visitors a day, it would mean chaining yourself to your computer desk for 20 hours a day churning out multiple blog post every hour.
How On Earth Can An Individual Blogger Do This? ... They can’t, but they try, because they were led to believe this model works, they are never told the magnitude of the traffic that is needed to produce a decent revenue stream.
Now there’s a second flaw to this advertising model, its very purpose is to encourage your traffic to LEAVE your blog in pursuit of another interest or product.
Why is this a problem?
Think about it, you’ve spent a lot of your personal time and money to get people to visit your blog. Now you’re opening a door to let them spend their cash on other products and services that AREN’T YOURS?
Doesn’t seem right does it ?
Affiliate marketing does the same thing. You are encouraging your visitors to leave your site to buy something from someone else.
Sadly, nearly all blogs follow these very ‘Old -fashioned’ revenue models.
Don’t get it twisted…I am not trying to suggest that advertising or affiliate programs can’t play some kind of role in your overall blog strategy, all I’m saying is you shouldn’t count on making substantial, dependable income using these strategies as your primary source of income, particularly if you are just starting out in the blogging world.
If you do, you’ll only end making a few hundred dollars at most, and it might take you a year or so to even generate that amount consistently.
A better way is to follow the digital product model. You only need about 100 unique visitors a day, you market to your own audience and you keep all the profits for yourself.
